An analysis of the main problems of the gas sulfur production in Russia is made including desulphurization of natural gas and extraction of acid gas, Claus process with afterpurification of the off-gas and sulfur degasification, production of the commodity forms of sulfur. Problems of the sulfur market, influence of different factors on the supply-demand balance and sulfur price formation, new spheres of her usage mainly in the construction industry are also considered.

Modern tendencies in exploration of natural gas resources make it necessary to develop new generation of gas chemistry processes, more flexible relative to raw stuff and final products and profitable even at small-scale operation. Paper discusses some new prospective gas chemistry processes based both on traditional route via natural gas conversion to syngas and on alternative scheme via direct oxidative conversion of natural and associated gases with subsequent carbonylation and/or oligomerization of oxidation products into valuable chemicals.

Improvement of steam cracking technology by application inhibitors of coke formation (P. 24-27)

In the petrochemical industry, the steam cracking of hydrocarbons is an important process for the production of olefins. A general problem related with any of the steam cracking process is the coke formation, which is deposited on the inner walls of the reactor followed immediately by the heat exchangers. In the context of complications foreign political situation and the threat of economic sanctions, the problem of import substitution in the petrochemical industry has become an important state problem, so we need to improve, research and development national technology for inhibiting coke formation. The article considers used and perspective inhibitors of coke formation, their advantages and disadvantages. It is shown, that as a domestic technology «on-line» deposition inhibiting coating on the inner surface of the coils of the steam cracking furnace is possible use a salt of metals.
